At Woodlands we believe that everyone has the right to enjoy their learning and leisure time free from intimidation. We strongly believe that it is the responsibility of all members of the college community to create a positive and safe environment where bullying is not welcome.

Staff are proactive in discussing incidents with pupils. We promote the use of 'Bully Busters' scheme devised and led by pupils with staff support, to encourage pupils to report every incident. Bullying is recognised in the school's Behaviour Management Policy, and every incident is taken seriously with appropriate action being taken.

The school also supports victims of bullying through the use of peer mentors, classroom based activities, and Tutor counselling. Parents are always welcome to discuss any concerns they may have regarding bullying with their child's Tutor or Lead Tutor.
