Woodlands is the only Community School in the East of the City and prides itself upon the wealth of opportunity it provides for its local community.These include excellent sports facilities, information and advice sessions and a full adult learning programme with courses ranging from learning internet skills to exercise and relaxation classes. Our dedicated team of community staff ensure that all activities take place in an environment which provides quality sessions in a relaxed and friendly environment.

We are a fully extended college and our Community Pavilion is a Family Support Centre which houses various different organisations who provide services to our local community in partnership with the college.This includes childcare, health advice, a midwife, health visitor and a toy library.

Special family learning courses are available to parents of Woodlands’ pupils such as ‘keeping up with the kids’ to enable parents to better understand their son/daughter’s learning.
