| Reporting to Parents
Using a range of assessment evidence, teachers identify target levels or grades which represent realistic but challenging targets for them work towards. Each term we undertake a Review of Progress (known as TPRs), and parents are informed of the outcome by letter. In this way parents are kept up-to-date about their child's progress towards their targets.
Parents are invited to discuss their child's
subject teachers once a year at Parent's
Evening. These are spread across the
academic year for different age groups.
College reports are sent out annually. We
also encourage parents to contact us whenever
they wish to, and not wait until a Parent's
Evening.
In addition, all our young people leave with a Progress File. This includes details of a pupil's attainments, experiences, personal strengths, interests, courses followed, examinations and attendance. Pupils take responsibility for the recording, and are encouraged to present information in a variety of ways, and to include certificates, awards, and examples of school work. In the final year, pupils produce summaries of their qualities, achievements and experiences.
